Who we are
No Hero Should Sleep on the Streets
Homeless Heroes California was founded on a single conviction: the men and women who served this country deserve a safe place to sleep, a hot meal, and a community that has their back.
Our story
A Veteran Who Served His Community — and Never Stopped
Fred is a veteran who came home and kept on serving. After his time in uniform, he built a home for disabled children — a place of safety, belonging, and care for kids who had nowhere else to turn. In doing so, he created something rare: a living bridge between Veterans and the communities that need them most.
Fred's story is the heartbeat of Homeless Heroes California. He showed us that Veterans are not just people in need of help — they are people with an extraordinary capacity to give it. His home for disabled kids became a model for what happens when a Veteran's sense of duty extends beyond the battlefield and into the neighborhood.

Every interaction starts with respect. Veterans are not charity cases — they are heroes who need a hand up, not a hand out.Community Over Institution
